George Steck pianos have held distinction since 1884, when they were first created in New York City. In the time between then and now, honors such as the Gold Medal at Vienna in 1873, the Piano Award at the Philadelphia Centennial in 1876 and the 1893 Chicago Exhibit Award have been bestowed upon them.
